If you are having trouble accessing the Android application...
Be sure to tap this button from the device you are trying to install on. Some devices or Android versions may require some extra steps:
- On non-Samsung phones:
- Go to your phone's Settings.
- Go to Security & Privacy > More settings.
- Tap on Install apps from external sources.
- Select the browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK from.
- Toggle Allow app installs on.
- On Samsung phones:
- Go to your phone's Settings.
- Go to Biometrics and security > Install unknown apps.
- Select the browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK from.
- Toggle Allow app installs on.
- On older devices (Android 7.x & lower):
- Go to your phone's Settings.
- Tap Lock screen and security (if unavailable, tap Security).
- Tap the Unknown sources switch to turn on or off.
- To continue, review prompt then tap OK.
You're still protected
Even when installing Apps from Unknown sources, Google Play Protect will continue scanning Apps, looking for viruses, malware and blocking forbidden Apps.
